Want something to do on those days when archery isn’t possible, on showery summer days or on dark winters evenings. Then what would be better use of that time but to read about archery.
There have been lots of books written about archery.
A book about the longbow has been available for members to read for a while now.
It was written by Robert Hardy. Some might remember him as Siegfried in All Creatures Great and Small or more recently in the Harry Potter films as the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge. What is probably not known that he was in fact a leading authority on the English Longbow. Looked at the Longbow staves which were found on the Marie Rose after it was lifted from the seabed just off Portsmouth in 1982.

If anyone wants to donate a book to library please add them to the shelving in the main container. The only stipulation is that it must be archery related.
If you borrow something then please bring back the book for others to read…….
